Risk Disclosure
Crypto assets are high-risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You could lose some or all of the money you invest. Please read this disclosure carefully before using Faro Cripto.
1. Purpose of This Disclosure
This Risk Disclosure describes material risks associated with trading and investing in digital assets and with using the analytics, dashboards and AI-assisted tools available through Faro Cripto. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. It does not describe every possible risk, and additional risks may arise.
2. Price Volatility
The prices of digital assets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, can change very rapidly and by large amounts within short periods. Price movements may be driven by factors such as market sentiment, macroeconomic developments, regulatory announcements, technological changes, large holders of assets and unexpected events. Losses can occur quickly and may be substantial.
3. Risk of Losing Capital
You may lose some or all of the capital you commit to digital assets. Any amount you invest should be an amount you can afford to lose without affecting your financial stability or your ability to meet essential commitments. Digital assets are not a suitable place to hold money you may need in the short term.
4. Limitations of AI-Powered Analysis
Faro Cripto uses automated and AI-assisted methods to process market data and present analysis. These methods have important limitations. Models may be trained on incomplete or historical data, may misinterpret signals, may fail during unusual market conditions, and may produce outputs that are inaccurate or out of date. Projections, scenarios and illustrative figures are not forecasts or guarantees of returns.
5. No Guarantee of Returns
Nothing on the Platform guarantees profits, a minimum return, or protection against loss. Past performance, including any historical analysis, backtesting or illustrative calculator output, is not a reliable indicator of future results. Figures shown are estimates based on the assumptions stated and may differ materially from actual outcomes.
6. Liquidity Risk
Some digital assets may have limited trading volume. In such conditions you may be unable to buy or sell at the price you expect, or at all. Spreads may widen sharply during periods of stress, and orders may be partially filled or delayed.
7. Custody and Security Risks
Digital assets are typically held in wallets or with third-party platforms. Loss of access credentials, hacking, phishing, malware, exchange failure or operational error can result in permanent loss of assets. Transactions on blockchain networks are generally irreversible. Faro Cripto does not hold your digital assets on your behalf through the Platform unless expressly stated otherwise.
8. Third-Party and Network Risks
The Platform relies on third-party data providers, blockchain networks, exchanges and other services. Outages, data errors, forks, protocol bugs, network congestion or changes to third-party terms may affect the availability or accuracy of information and may cause losses.
9. Regulatory and Legal Risk
The legal and regulatory treatment of digital assets is evolving and varies between jurisdictions. Changes in law or regulation may restrict your ability to hold or trade certain assets, may affect their value, and may impose new obligations. Digital-asset holdings are generally not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) or similar deposit or investor compensation arrangements.
10. Tax Considerations
The tax treatment of digital assets can be complex and depends on your individual circumstances. Gains, losses, income and transfers may have tax consequences. Reports or summaries generated by the Platform are not tax advice, and you should consult a qualified tax adviser.
11. Leverage and Derivatives
Where leveraged products or derivatives are referenced or made available, they carry a significantly higher risk of loss. Small adverse price movements can lead to losses exceeding your initial margin, and positions may be liquidated automatically. Such products are not appropriate for many investors.
12. Responsible Use
We encourage you to diversify, to avoid investing more than you can afford to lose, to use the risk management tools available to you, to verify important information independently, and to seek professional advice where appropriate. Be alert to unsolicited offers, promises of guaranteed returns and requests for your credentials, as these are common signs of fraud.
